Samba Pros: Over 30 Years Experience
Having founded the successful Brazilian Cultural group, SambaLá Samba School in 1994, David and Doris de Hilster have been producing samba shows for such companies as Kia Motors in Korea, a big wedding show for Bridget Fonda, and a drum show for the Latin Grammys. In 1999, Valeria Ruggieri joined the team and has assisted in production for over 7 years including forming her own Brazilian Themed Event Planning Company 4 years ago, RioBela Productions. SambaLá Samba School and now RioBela Productions are the producers of the Brazilian Street Carnaval founded in 1996 which have grown to be one of the biggest all-Brazilian events in the country.

SambaLá Samba School founder David de Hilster always wanted to put on a Brazilian Carnaval Ball and when the local Brazilian community came to the school and asked them to put one on, David and his production team the “Samba Pros” couldn’t say no!
Having been to many Brazilian Carnaval Balls throughout the years in Southern California, the samba pros always knew they could do it better, having been to some of the famous Carnaval Balls in Rio. With this new opportunity, team wants to put together an event that will be authentic, fun, and take place at a gorgeous venue.
